Ace Program

Our Academic Curriculum Extension (ACE) program is a dynamic course that aims to develop students' critical and creative thinking, problem solving skills, and academic resilience. The ACE program is designed to promote curiosity and enhance students’ intrinsic motivation in an academically stimulating environment.

Students work collaboratively and independently to complete a range of puzzles and extension challenges in class. This includes involvement in the biannual Bebras Computational Thinking Challenge, a global informatics competition administered by CSIRO Digital Careers. The ACE program teaches critical and creative thinking, effective communication and problem solving strategies. The interdisciplinary approach provides students with a unique opportunity to learn and apply essential 21st century learning skills and develop ethical leadership skills. ACE students also have the opportunity to attend a number of related excursions, culminating in a trip to Perth towards the end of Year 9.

At Nagle, we recognise the unique gifts and talents of all our students and seek to provide enriching extension activities for students with demonstrated academic aptitude.
