Year 7
Mathematics is a compulsory subject in Year 7 and students study Mathematics for four periods a week. Classes are organised in ability groups. Students are placed in an General or Focus classes based on information provided from NAPLAN and primary schools. Year 7 students are assessed through tests, investigations and where appropriate projects. Years 8 - 10
Mathematics is a compulsory subject in Years 8, 9 and 10. Students study Mathematics for five periods a week. Classes are organised in ability groups. Students are placed in an Accelerated, General or Focus classes based on their previous years results and teacher judgement. Students are assessed through tests, investigations and where appropriate projects. Students of Mathematics are encouraged to participate in a variety of other associated activities:

SENIOR SCHOOL
Year 11
In Year 11, students can choose an appropriate Mathematics subject relative to their capabilities and interests. Both ATAR and General pathways are available. General
Able students may choose two Mathematics units in Year 11. They may study both Methods and Specialist. If they choose to study Specialist they MUST study Maths Methods. Year 12 In Year 12, students can choose an appropriate Mathematics subject relative to their capabilities and interests. Both ATAR and General pathways are available. General
